From the very early days of our squash journey in the 80's, we started off playing at the wall courts of FIT college in Cheras. We then moved on to play at the Naga Ria apartments at Jln Imbi, yes our very first experience with glass courts. As our group got bigger we camped for a few years at Pudu Plaza until it was renovated to be a badminton court. Darn.....
Our current home court is at NSC courts Jalan Duta , just next to the Bandar Tun Razak hockey stadium and our group consists of a mix of ladies and gentlemen with a size of about 20, age ranging from 20 to early 50's and a girth tummy of 28 to 38! We are casual players getting together every Tuesday and Fridays to sweat it out consistently.
Recently, through a heads up from Nont of LITE FM, we went up north to Penang on the 22 May 2009 to participate in the World Squash Day 2009 and also at the same time assist to raise some funds to get the Squash game to be listed and played in the Olympics 2016. Would like to thank all that had made it happened and we certainly had a enjoyable and meaningful outing.
Heard over the Lite FM airwaves at 5 pm on the 22nd June 09 :- Would also like to thank my friends Sam, terence, yip, etc. bla bla bla for travelling up to Penang for the Squash for 2016 event .... something like that la. Nont dude, thanks for putting our names thru the airwaves, we were so moved that we had to stop right in the middle of the road "stunned" (yea right)
